Midlife Mentor, Entrepreneur, Podcast Host, Writer
AS SEEN/ HEARD ON:
Rachel Lankester is the founder of the Magnificent Midlife Movement, celebrating and empowering women 40+. She's passionate about changing how society perceives women in midlife and beyond, and also how we view ourselves. She's on a mission to disrupt negative ageist and sexist stereotypes about older women, menopause and aging.
After an early menopause at 41, followed by a period of soul-searching as she adjusted to this diagnosis, she scratched her own itch and created what she wasn't able to find to help her cope. The Magnificent Midlife world includes personal mentoring, an online community, educational resources, an inspiring podcast and self-study programs to help midlife women refresh, re-energize and recalibrate.
It also includes The Mutton Club online magazine for women 40+ which is where it all started!
Rachel's midlife reinvention came after a long and successful career in financial communications which took her all over the world, including 3 years working in New York and as communications manager for a FTSE 100 company. She has an MBA from Imperial College, London and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, as well as reasonable French.
Rachel is available for media opportunities, talks, expert comment, event panels, interviews and features on:
- Menopause and midlife
- Ending ageism
- Disrupting ageist, sexist narratives about older women
- Being a fabulous older woman
- Midlife reinvention/career change
- Midlife angst
- Empty nest syndrome
- Her podcast Magnificent Midlife
- Natural remedies for menopause issues
- Coping with early menopause
- Coming to terms with secondary infertility
- Being self employed at 50+
Rachel delivered an excellent workshop to the Change.org team that was engaging and thought-provoking and has prompted a great deal of discussion within the organisation - just what we were hoping for! Some of the feedback following the call "It is so important to know this stuff. No one TELLS you" and "this was incredibly empowering". Thank you Rachel!
