I'm all about empowering women to live their best lives, especially as they go through midlife, and society starts telling them they're no longer relevant or have value.
In my presentations to organizations, at online summits and at real world events, I inspire women to thrive not just survive through menopause, how to deal with the messy stuff of midlife, show them that anything is STILL possible for them, and give them the tools they need to create a magnificent next chapter.
I was given an initially devastating early menopause diagnosis at 41, which ended my dreams of a second child, but which I was able, for a short while, to reverse. I help women thrive through the menopause transition and feel better about getting older. My mission is to challenge overwhelmingly negative narratives about midlife, menopause and aging in general and give women more control over their hormones. I want women to be prepared, not scared.
I've been featured in/on BBC Woman’s Hour, i News, Sheerluxe, Thrive Global, The Sunday Times, Authority Magazine, Woman’s Weekly, Prima Magazine etc. and numerous podcasts including Mediastorm, Make Time For Success, We Should Talk About That, Experience 50 and The Happy Menopause.
I was on the BSI panel developing their new standard on Menstruation and Menopause in the Workplace. I've given midlife and/or menopause talks to organizations such as Change.org and the Career Development Institute, and at events such as the EveryWoman and Mind Body Spirit Festivals. In 2024 I'll be the co-lead on the TravelGems Revitalise, Renew, Rise | Midlife Retreat in Crete.
My own midlife reinvention came after a long and successful career in financial communications which took me all over the world, including 3 years working in New York and as communications manager for a FTSE 100 company. I have an MBA from Imperial College, London and speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, as well as reasonable French.

Rachel delivered an excellent workshop on menopause to the Change.org team that was engaging and thought-provoking and has prompted a great deal of discussion within the organisation - just what we were hoping for! Some of the feedback following the call "It is so important to know this stuff. No one TELLS you" and "this was incredibly empowering". Thank you Rachel!
Rachel delivered an incredibly powerful session on the menopause in our workplace. Her unabashed delivery and natural humour allowed for full and frank discussion of all aspects of the menopause. She turned the idea of struggling with the menopause on its head and introduced the idea of female empowerment during midlife and beyond. Rachel provided us with numerous tips and resources to help rebalance hormonal fluctuations and regain control of our bodies.

I wrote a book about how women can create a magnificent midlife. It was recommended in the New York Times as one of the top 7 books about menopause! I unpick the accepted status quo and negative stereotypes associated with women’s midlife and aging. I offer a radical research-based rebranding of midlife and menopause, highlighting the possibilities inherent in this transformational time in a woman’s life.
It's had some great reviews! Find out more here.
This book is helping change the narrative for women in midlife and entering the change. It's empowering, informative and interesting too. Midlife is not all doom and gloom, this book and Rachel's podcast will help you shape the next phase of your life. We need more books like this.
